Who we are

Werq is a personal garage and maintenance assistant app. This notice explains what data the app stores and how it is used during the beta.

Data we collect

• Account: email address, optional display name, and authentication identifiers (via Supabase Auth).
• Garage data: vehicles, mileage, service logs, and fuel logs.
• Chat: messages you send to Werq and Werq’s replies, stored in your account.
• Device: local notification preferences on your phone.
• Optional community prices (off by default): if you enable Community prices in Menu, Werq may store anonymized €/L or service cost samples tied only to a coarse DE region (PLZ first 2 digits). No VIN, full postcode, station name, or email is shared with other users.

How we use data

• Sync your garage across devices while you are signed in.
• Power maintenance reminders and fuel/cost insights.
• Send your chat prompts and garage context to OpenAI so Werq can answer. OpenAI processes that content to generate replies; do not share secrets you would not send to a third-party AI provider.
• Host data on Supabase (database and auth).
• If community prices are enabled: compute regional averages only when enough samples exist (k-anonymity floor). Samples are not sold and are not used for advertising. You can turn the feature off and delete your contributions anytime.

Retention & control

You can delete individual vehicles, service logs, fuel logs, and chat threads in the app, and you can sign out anytime. While signed in, you can permanently delete your entire account and all associated garage data from Menu.
